Our process is straightforward and transparent. Turnaround, from Hunt announcement to client selection of concept(s), is usually only a matter of 1-2 months. Here’s how our process typically works:
- The client prepares a brief
This brief outlines project background, objectives and expectations, deliverables, deadline, and details on potential upside, including any prizes.
- You receive an email about this new opportunity
As a member of our network, you will automatically receive notices about new Marketing Hunts or contests. You can access information about the event at our website.
- You and other members submit responses to the brief
Just email BIG a file with your concept or pitch. If you have questions for the client or BIG, you can email us at any point in the process. Your work will be confidentially shared with the client and not available to viewing by other members or clients without your permission.
- We meet with the client to review the work
BIG presents submissions to the client. Some clients wish to review all work, others elect to look at only the top submissions.
- You receive an email about prizewinners (if the Hunt involves any)
If prizes are awarded, we email our network to announce winners. Not all Hunts offer prizes; and a prize award is not a commitment to a licensing or buyout deal.
- BIG helps negotiate a deal with the client for selected submissions
As your representative, we discuss terms with the client for use of your submission. Some clients prefer buyouts, others opt for licensing contracts. If the client wishes to pay you to further develop the concept, those negotiations are between you and the client.
- The client releases all other ideas
Usually within two months of the Hunt’s conclusion, the client reaches a final decision about which ideas to license and which to release. We announce that information to our network. Once ideas are released, you are free to submit elsewhere—including to another Marketing Hunt, if appropriate.
