9-Minute Marinator
The 9-Minute Marinator uses a vacuum pump to quickly marinate and tenderize meat, vegetables, seafood, and more. Inventor Shannon Varney's initial design was augmented and refined by designer/engineer Arra David. The Marinator was licensed to Thane for the infomercial market.
12-Minute Games
BIG called on the talents of inventors Bob Bushnell and Jeff Ure to create this line of games designed to be easy to learn and quick to play. Gamewright licensed both the brand concept and individual games from BIG.
Bug Vacuum & Capture Capsule
This clever bug capture set has done exceedingly well. The products, a collaboration between BIG and inventor Joe Casale, have been sold at such venues as Toys "R" Us and Target.
Pair 'O Pals
Inventors Tony Deblauwe and Stefan Kassovic created these cute 2-in-1 plush characters. The line was licensed to Elaine & Wallace, a specialty toy and gift company.
Times Up!
Bryon Thompson invented this device to control video game and TV use. Times Up! automatically shuts power off to electronics once the allowed play period has expired. BIG licensed the product to Overbreak.
Tiny Totes
Susan Kern, Deb Milam and Jill O'Banyel crafted these miniature fashion handbags with surprises inside. The collectible line was licensed to Basic Fun.
WordLock
Inventor Todd Basche took home the grand prize of $25,000 in the first Staples Invention Quest for his WordLock. The clever lock operates with easy-to-remember words rather than numbers. BIG helped manage the Staples contest and evaluate all submissions.
