Michael Collins
Founder and CEO
Big Idea Group was created by Michael Collins. Mike is an inventor and serial entrepreneur. He founded Kid Galaxy, a specialty toy company and producer of the award-winning Bendos line. He has an undergraduate degree in engineering from Dartmouth and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Mike is a frequent speaker on the business of innovation, appearing at industry conventions, university forums and inventor groups.
Andy Hajdukiewicz
SVP Client Services
Andy joined Big Idea Group after 14 years with the JM Smucker Company, General Mills, and Avery Dennison. He has been directly involved in the successful launch of over 200 new products. Andy is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, with a degree in marketing. Beyond his leadership role in BIG Client Services, Andy is Managing Director of our Food Inventors' Network.
Beth Obermiller
Executive Vice President
Beth has been with Big Idea Group since 2001 and is an innovation services team leader within many of our client engagements. With an extensive background in product development and licensing, Beth began her career in children's products, serving as Managing Editor at Perfection Learning and Executive Editor at Pleasant Company (American Girl dolls). Prior to joining Big Idea Group, Beth was Vice President of Product Development at Kid Galaxy, a children's catalog company.
Dave Halpin
VP Community Development
David joined BIG after 15 years of experience building online private and public communities in both consumer and business-to-business environments. Prior to joining BIG, David launched several successful interactive ventures for Business Media Group, CMGI, and NetScout Systems. A journalism graduate from Ohio University, David manages the development and execution of applications and services for BIG's communities.
Allison Pappenfus
Director of Inventor Relations
Allison joined Big Idea Group in 2000 with a background in marketing and product development. At BIG, she builds and manages relationships with our network of 13,000 inventors, including orchestrating monthly Roadshows where we meet new members. Prior to joining BIG, Allison worked as a buyer in purchasing and product development for Kid Galaxy, a children's catalog company. Allison is a graduate of Bentley College, with a degree in business management and marketing.
